Signup privacy notice

This notice describes the information used by Virillio LLC’s website account and sign-in flow. It does not describe separate products or services you may choose to use later.

Information used for sign-in

For email sign-in, we use the email address you enter and send a one-time sign-in link. For Google or ChatGPT sign-in, we receive the account identifier and basic profile information the provider supplies, such as your name, email address, and, when available, profile image. We store account and provider identifiers so you can return to the same Virillio account.

Google sign-in requests only basic identity, email, and profile information. This signup flow does not request Gmail messages, Google Drive files, or access to ChatGPT conversations.

How the information is used

We use this information to create and recognize your account, authenticate you, display your signed-in account, deliver requested sign-in links, and protect the signup service. Authentication records can include your IP address, browser information, and session timestamps for security and abuse prevention.

Storage and service providers

Account information and authentication records are stored in the website’s server-side database. The website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for hosting and storage, your chosen identity provider for sign-in, and Resend to deliver email sign-in links. Resend receives the destination email address and the sign-in email contents for delivery. These providers process information needed to perform their respective services.

The signup implementation uses Google user data for the account and authentication purposes described here. It does not use that data for advertising or model training.

Cookies and account records

Sign-in uses essential cookies to maintain a secure session and protect authentication requests. Virillio sessions last up to seven days. Email sign-in links expire after ten minutes and can be used once. Signing out ends the active session; it does not delete your persistent account record. Account records remain so returning users can access the same account.

Your choices and questions

You can choose an available sign-in method, sign out, or revoke Google access in your Google Account settings. Revoking provider access does not automatically delete the Virillio account.
